BIO: Dianne Burckhardt is a podcaster, magazine publisher, and an award-winning designer and western author (writing as Stephen Burckhardt). Her historical fiction series, The Into the West Saga Serial is complete and she is currently writing her medical memoir Free Bad Haircut With Each Craniotomy. Dianne is an American from Wichita, Kansas but currently resides in Germany with her Chilean husband, and their Russian rescue dog (Shaggy). She is also a proud bonus mom to twin adult daughters in Chile.

Dianne has faced many challenges in her life. Trying to create a profitable writing career for herself just may be the toughest one yet. It's not easy to rebuild your life and career after surviving seven surgeries in six months, especially when six of those are brain surgeries and you die for a while at one point.

Dianne has always been a writer, but after the brain trauma, she was literally at a loss for words. Her memory failed her. Simple words and names were just suddenly gone. Writing became therapy. She still has issues that will likely be with her for life, but she uses these challenges to feed her creativity. She is quite unique among indie authors.
