Hello My Happy People, 

Dianne is thrilled to share her interview with you today with the incredible mystery author, D.M.S. Fick.  Besides being an amazing author, she is an Emmy-nominated and grant-awarded animator and has worked on two Peabody Award-winning programs broadcast on PBS. Most recently Ms. Fick did design and animation work for SciGirls, a PBS Kids program that encourages girls and young women to become involved in STEM. 

In 2015 Ms. Fick received an Artist Initiative grant from the Minnesota State Arts Board for The Oracle of Nuttown, a half-hour cartoon mash-up of forest creatures, Greek mythology, and classic 1970s movies.

  • She attended high school in Walnut Grove, hometown of beloved author Laura Ingalls Wilder.
  • She once traveled in a coach from Valencia to London with a retired showgirl.
