Hello My happy People,

Today I am sharing my chat with multi-award-winning author D.I. Jolly (known as Jolly). He discovered his passion for storytelling at just seven years old after playing the video game Gabriel Knight. Captivated by the character, he decided early on that he would be a writer.

It would be several years before his dream would become a reality when he unintentionally wrote his first book, A Guy, A Girl and A Voodoo Monkey Hand, as a teenager. That milestone proved to him that writing wasn’t just a dream, it was something he could actually do. Since then, his work has evolved from comedic noir into more serious, thought-provoking stories, often exploring deeper themes through pop culture-driven genres.

Originally from South Africa, Jolly has lived in several countries and now resides in Berlin, Germany. His writing spans a wide range of genres, including psychological thrillers, paranormal romance, fantasy, and an incredible collection of short fiction. Beyond novels, he has also worked as a story writer for the sci-fi strategy game Nexus 5X and founded a monthly poetry and writing event.

While Jolly's current profession does feed his creativity, he still hopes to one day write books full-time. His stories are more than entertainment, he aims to create something that makes people think, feel, or see things differently. His book Blurred Lines is a great example of his incredible creativity.
